Travel back in time as you ride the sure-footed Icelandic horse along the historic Kjölur trail, used by Icelanders throughout the centuries en route to their summer parliament at Thingvellir, first held in A.D. 930. The majestic horse of Iceland, native to the area, is perfect for these trails, as their gait, known as the tölt, is ideally suited for the terrain of Iceland, making your ride an enjoyable experience. Stop at the famous geyser hot spring area at Gullfoss and enjoy the majestic waterfall before leaving civilization for the rugged wilderness of the interior.

The adventure continues as you travel across the heart of Iceland and see huge glaciers, remote desert-like areas and vast green meadows where young horses and mountain geese roam free during the summer. Ride past extinct volcanoes, glacier lakes and across wild glacial rivers on your wonderful mount.
